Jon Fetsch is our graphic designer here at The Press Room. He studied at Art Institute Minnesota and graduated from UND in 2008. Jon has been with The Press Room since January 2019 and enjoys his work.
Dean Sauer, of Valley City, started his office supply career working part time after school at Printing Plus, a local office supply and print shop. About three years later Printing Plus went out of business and the assets were split between two stores, the office supply portion was purchased by the company that is now Officeland of Jamestown and the printing portion became Graphic Impressions and later Sheyenne Printers.
Dean worked for Officeland and eventually became manager of the Valley City location. A position he held until he purchased the Valley City location from Officeland in 2005. The business was then renamed Valley Officeworks.
Dixie (Wood) Sauer accepted a position as press operator for Graphic Impressions and stayed with the business when it changed hands and became Sheyenne Printers in 1999. She became the print shop supervisor for Sheyenne Printers in 2004.
Dixie met Dean while working at Graphic Impressions. She asked him on a date one Friday and the rest is history. They were married in 1993.
In early 2010 Steve and Jeanie Hoss (the owners of Sheyenne Printers) decided it was time for them to retire. They approached Dean and Dixie about possibly purchasing the print shop. On August 1st, 2010 Dean and Dixie purchased Sheyenne Printers and by the end of September that year they had moved Valley Officeworks to the Sheyenne Printers location with the office supply on the main floor and the print shop in the basement.
As of September 1st, 2015, Dean and Dixie are the proud new owners of The Press Room in Jamestown. It has been an easy transition being as they have worked together in the past and have kept the same employees.
